Corylobium

Corylobium Mordvilko

This is a monotypic genus for the species Corylobium avellanae (Schrank), which feeds on Corylus species (hazelnuts).  It was introduced to North America in the Vancouver, Canada area many years ago, and I found it fairly recently in northwestern Washington near Mount Vernon where it feeds on ornamental contorted Corylus trees.

Corylobium avellanae apterous vivipara in northwestern Washington.
