{"id":768,"date":"2016-01-01T18:24:45","date_gmt":"2016-01-01T18:24:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aphidtrek.org\/?page_id=768"},"modified":"2024-12-18T19:03:20","modified_gmt":"2024-12-18T19:03:20","slug":"hyalopterus","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aphidtrek.org\/?page_id=768","title":{"rendered":"Hyalopterus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Hyalopterus<\/em> Koch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a genus for just a few elongate-bodied aphids with small siphunculi, with host associations of <em>Prunus<\/em> spp. and grasses living in wet places.&nbsp; From what I can tell, the specimens I get in the northwestern U.S.A. are <em>Hyalopterus pruni<\/em>.&nbsp; My sense is that the group is not native to North America, although <em>H. pruni<\/em> is now almost cosmopolitan in distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Hyalopterus pruni <\/em>(Geoffroy)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As noted above, this is another apparently non-native species.&nbsp;
