{"id":760,"date":"2015-12-31T04:59:11","date_gmt":"2015-12-31T04:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aphidtrek.org\/?page_id=760"},"modified":"2024-12-18T19:01:53","modified_gmt":"2024-12-18T19:01:53","slug":"hyadaphis","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aphidtrek.org\/?page_id=760","title":{"rendered":"Hyadaphis"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Hyadaphis<\/em> Kirkaldy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a genus for over a dozen species, all of palaearctic origin.&nbsp; Like a lot of introduced species, I tend to pass this genus over rather a lot in my collecting, so the records don&#8217;t reflect its true distribution and abundance.&nbsp; Host plant associations are mostly Caprifoliaceae and Apiaceae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Hyadaphis passerinii<\/em> (del Guercio)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In my area of western North America, this is the most common species of <em>Hyadaphis<\/em>.&nbsp; It has penetrated native forests to some extent, where I have found it on native <em>Lonicera<\/em> vines.&nbsp; I have material from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/aphidtrek.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Hyadaphis-passerinii-Hayden-25-vi-2011.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-761\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1221\" height=\"970\" src=\"https:\/\/aphidtrek.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Hyadaphis-passerinii-Hayden-25-vi-2011.jpg\" alt=\"Hyadaphis passerinii from Lonicera in northern Idaho.\" class=\"wp-image-761\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aphidtrek.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Hyadaphis-passerinii-Hayden-25-vi-2011.jpg 1221w, https:\/\/aphidtrek.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Hyadaphis-passerinii-Hayden-25-vi-2011-300x238.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aphidtrek.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Hyadaphis-passerinii-Hayden-25-vi-2011-768x610.jpg 768w, https:\/\/aphidtrek.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Hyadaphis-passerinii-Hayden-25-vi-2011-1024x813.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1221px) 100vw, 1221px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Hyadaphis passerinii from Lonicera in northern Idaho.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Hyadaphis tataricae <\/em>(Aizenberg)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This species has been established and scattered around North America for a couple decades at least.&nbsp; I have found it only a few times, and collected it only once.
